Happy Birthday to Jack

For Jack's second birthday he wanted a tractor party. He got a Gator tractor from Granny and Pa which he loves, but is really wreckless because he can't quite steer it yet. He got a lot of toys, tractors, chaps and boots from Grandpa Rod and Staci, and some trains from Grandma and Grandpa Bradley. He pretty much got spoiled rotten! We had such a fun day and are glad that everyone could come celebrate Jack turning 2 with us.

We are lucky to have Big J's to have our parties in. This is the tractor serving table.
Jack loved all his presents- but got a little gun shy opening them with all the attention.
Blowing out the candles.
The cute tractor cake- I wish I could say I made it, but I didn't.

Friends

These are all Jack and Hanks best friends. Claire, Burk, Ace, and Mackley. We love to hang out with these guys and are so thankful to have such good friends.

Hank 5 months

Hank is already five months old- where did the time go? He is getting cuter everyday. He can roll around the ground, grabs at everything, and has found his voice and squeals a lot. He just melts your heart with he big smile and loves his momma. He still doesn't sleep very well at night- OK he wakes up about every other hour. He also doesn't take very good naps. If we could fix his sleeping habits he would be a perfect baby. He is still always happy when he is being held but hates baby food. I haven't found anything that he will eat without acting like he is going to throw up or spits out. We love this little guy but hate that he is growing up so fast.

Spring Break part 2

For the second half of our spring break vacation week we were able to go to Grandma and Grandpa Bradley's house. We love to go here because it is so relaxing and fun. We were lucky because we got to take a day to go skiing at Targhee with a bunch of new snow and they watched the kids!
We played Wii fit-which I am #1 on almost every event by the way! Here is Cort showing off his yoga skills.
Bob and Jami always have some sort of project going on that Cort gets to help them do. He is putting the roof on their outhouse shed here with Bob.
They bought a new rhino so we could take the kids when we go ATVing.

Spring Break Part 1- Arizona

Cort had to take a trailer to Arizona for Logan Coach this week so me and the boys tagged along for a little fun. It was a really long drive but both boys were troopers and we had a lot of fun. I got to stop in Aurora to see one of my best friends, Sandi, who I don't get to see enough and her cute kids. She also had a baby the next day that I missed. It was kind of a quick trip but a blast to just be with Cort and our boys. Jack was so excited everywhere we went and loved every minute of our first family vacation. Here are some highlights of our trip.
We stayed in the horse trailer one night- thanks Wal-Mart for your parking lot!
In the morning we went into Wal-Mart (which is why they let trailers stay in their parking lot) Jack just had to ride the bucking bull, with one hand.
Jack and Hank LOVED to swim in the hotel swimming pool.
The boys got a little restless in their car seats for 12 hours there and 12 hours back. This is how Jack would sleep with his blanket over his head.
We went to the Grand Canyon which was amazing. Jack was only interested in this log that he could ride like a horsey though.
Our family picture at the Grand Canyon.

I didn't realize that I have never seen the tall cactus' in Arizona before. They were everywhere and really cool looking.

We stopped at the Glen Canyon Dam over Lake Powell.

Train show

After the wedding we went to the train show Jack is really into trains and thought they were so cool.
Riding on the train. Jack rode once and couldn't get the money out of his pocket fast enough to ride again.

Riley and Sunny

Cort's brother, Riley married Sunny this Saturday. It was great to see everyone and to see them get married. Sunny looked so pretty and the lunch was great!

Big Boy!

Today was the big day of the 4 month check up and shots for Hank. Here are his stats:

15 pounds 9.5 ounces/ 75th percentile
25 inches long/ 55th percentile

He gained 3 pounds and 3 inches from his two month visit. He gets to start rice cereal so stay posted for this big event! He has been going to the physical therapist for tortocolis which is one of his neck muscles needs to be stretched out because he prefers to look to the right a lot more and has a flat spot on the right side of the back of his head. They said it probably happened in the womb when he ran out of room to grow and got used to keeping his head turned to one side. He is getting better though at looking to the left.

Hank is such a smiley baby. He almost crawls out of his skin smiling and cooing. He is starting to find his voice and cooing a lot. He still doesn't sleep through the night but makes it worth it because when I go to get him out of his crib every two to three hours at night he gives me a huge gummy grin and kicks his legs like he is so excited to see me. He just watches Jack and is so entertained by him. We are having so much fun with him and love him so much!

Growing up

It seems since we have had Hank that Jack has grown up twice as fast. He was kind of forced to in ways I guess to make room for his little brother. He makes me smile every day with his kisses and sweet little voice saying "mommy" a billion times a day. He always looks out for others and makes sure if he wants a cookie he gets one for everyone else also. He says hello and goodbye to everyone in the room when he comes and goes. He hugs, kisses, and holds his little brother and makes sure he always has a toy and blanket and even tries to feed him occasionally, which he doesn't understand why he can't... He is always up to something and forgets nothing. He is learning his colors and knows red, blue, yellow, and green. He loves tractors, cookies, and doing everything by himself- my patience has really been tried here letting him figure things out whether he makes a mess or gets frustrated. He is like a little angel that makes your day even at 3 a.m. when he is standing at the side of my bed with his tractor blanket whispering "cock-a-doodle-doo!"

Jack has pretty much been potty training himself on his terms. I think this is a precursor to what his personality is going to be like. He likes to do things by himself and figure things out. He decided one day that he was going to poop on the potty. He is only 23 months but if he is ready then I'm not complaining one bit! He said he had to poop so I put him on the toilet and he did it! Granny and Pa brought him to Kings and bought him a horse toy. So now every time he goes on the potty he says prize, horse? He really has things figured out.
Jack was forced to grow up into a big boy bed because Hank needed his crib. He was so excited and slept all night without getting out once the first night, he even stayed in it in the morning. Then he figured out he was not caged in and we get a visitor in our room about every night now wanting to sleep with us. If we don't go to bed the same time as him he sneaks downstairs and peeks around the corner and will stay there forever. The other day he had his cowboy hat on and snuck down to watch us. It was too cute to get mad and we laughed our heads off. What a kid!
Jack is really into animals if you didn't already know. He puts these animal hats on and turns into the animal. His new thing is to pretend like he is a dog and crawl around barking. I tell him to roll over, eat dinner and go to bed and he acts like a dog while he does what he is told. He is quite a character

FINALLY BIG J'S...

The long awaited day has finally come. Big J's reopened their doors from the fire at the beginning of October. It has been a long process of rebuilding, everything had to be completely gutted and redone. It turned out really nice and my parents worked really hard to get it back up. Here are some pictures of what it looks like now. I took all the pictures for decorations and of the food for the menu boards and combo meals. It was a lot of fun figuring out my studio lights and photoshop. I am getting pretty good at it now! We opened on a Tuesday and it has been crazy busy- rodeo busy everyday since. I only worked in the store on Wednesday night, but my parents are back at it 12 hours a day every day. I think I have eaten there everyday it has been open and plus the whole week before we opened, I guess it is just in my blood and I have missed it!

Jack helping out by sweeping the floor- he is clocked in and isn't cheap labor...
He found the microphone and loved to talk and sing into it.
Pa and all his boys.

Check out his shiner- this is just after he pulled the ladder over to the ice cream chest to scoop his own ice cream and fell off and hit his eye on the corner. I caught him half way down so it could have been a lot worse.

Happy Birthday shout outs!

My dad and sister Shannon had birthdays in February. Dad's is on the 12th and Sha's is on Valentines Day, did everyone decorate in hearts for her? Jack learned how to sing happy birthday- so sweet and loved sharing their homemade cheesecake. Happy birthday to you both we love you!

Jack colored his Pa a picture of coupons for his birthday. The coupons were for Pa to take Jack for a whole weekend, and a special activity for the whole day, maybe I was thinking it was MY birthday for him to want to cash in the coupons...

My boys

Hank is 3 months and Jack is 22 months. They love each other so much. Jack wants to give him a kiss first thing every morning and Hank will just stare at him and smile. Jack always makes sure he has a toy and a blanket, he has even tried to nurse him when he cried, how do you explain that to a 2 year old? They are sure keeping us busy and are so much fun.
