Christmas

I am really slow at posting this Christmas because my mom just found the card all our Christmas pics were on. But we had such a fun Christmas I have to post and then it will complete this year of activities and I can publish my blog book so here is Christmas '08 in a nut shell.
Christmas eve was full of competition. We had a basket shooting and run around the circle of the house, which our family won. A leg wrestling tournament, hand pushing, and a game of making words with tiles. We kept a running score and I am happy to announce that the Jones family took the Egbert competition and walked away with the twenty bucks!

Our Christmas feast. We opened boxes on our plates with a cute poem about hearing the bell ring if you believe with a pretty bell inside- but for some reason Dad's and Nate's wouldn't ring?

Sawyer and Jack had to make sure Santa and his reindeer had some treats when they came. We watched Santa make his stops around the world on the computer.

Sawyer and Jack made caramel corn to eat under the tent.

Cort won the prize for thinking of the best present. He made me a music jewelry box that plays a very nice tune. I was way surprised because we weren't supposed to get each other something, and I didn't know when he was working on it... very thoughtful. He also painted my moms cruiser bike in a sparkly red paint with a basket to look like the wizard of oz bike.

Hank's first Christmas.
The thing I don't like about Christmas is all the hype and preparation and then it is all just over. But I love the holiday season. We had so much fun, I think having kids makes the holidays even that much funner. As a kid you can't sleep because you are so excited to see what santa brought you and as a parent you can't sleep because you can't wait to see the joy on your kids' faces.

Jack and Hank look alikes?

So many people say "Oh my heck, they look just like twins!" So I found some similar pictures to compare.

Top is Hank, bottom Jack. Both newborn still in the hospital.

Funny Jack

So lately Jack has been interested in the potty. He will take his pants and diaper off and say potty or poopoo. The other day he kept wanting to sit on the toilet so I would bring him in there and he wouldn't do anything. My dad came over and Jack made him take him to the potty. This time he actually peed, but it wasn't pointed down so he ended up peeing all over the floor. Then my dad proceeded to teach him how to push- really funny.

Jack's favorite thing to do in the morning is to lay in our bed with Hank. He crawls under the covers sucks his thumb and cuddles Hank. Whoever isn't in bed he says their name and pats the bed where he wants them to lay.

Hank's 2 month

Hank has grown so much. He is such a good little eater- now if we could just get him to be a good sleeper. Here are some of his 2 month well check stats.
Weight- 12 pounds, 8.5 ounces/ 75th %
Height- 22 1/2 inches/ 30th %
He had a lot of shots that were no fun and he cried and cried. He is such a smiley baby and really has been pretty easy. We are so happy he is so happy and healthy we love him so much!

New Years!

For New Years this year we headed over to our friends, Lex and Bo Janes' house. We shot guns, rode on the tube behind the snowmobile, ate, and played games.

Some Christmas Happenings...

I still don't have all the Christmas pictures on my computer for the full Christmas effect but here are a few happenings that we did over Christmas. My little Christmas elves.
Grandpa Bradley and Hank.
Went snowshoeing in Rigby with Bob and Jami.
Jack liked to slide down the hill.
Hank in the sled that I pulled with a rope while snowshoeing- don't worry, he only fell out of the sled twice, the car seat works!
Jack loved to be pulled in the sled by Cort.
My mom gave us this advent tree for the 12 days of Christmas. Every morning Jack would wake up and want to put the decoration on the tree then push the star on top to dance to the Christmas song.
Cort and Jack put up our Charlie Brown tree and decorated it. All my hallmark ornaments wouldn't stay on the branches so they only put a string of beads and some light fabric balls on it. It still looked like a cute christmas tree, but I broke down and asked for a nice fake tree for Christmas so I can use my hallmark ornaments.

Hank was baby Jesus for our ward party this year and Jack was the donkey for Grandma Jami's families Christmas party. He was so cute in his donkey outfit holding Mary and Joseph's hands. He walked right in found me in the crowd started waving and stayed on the stage the whole time. He was a great donkey!

Cort played in the snow with Jack and Sawyer, what a fun Christmas to get so much snow.

Kyle and Shannon Christiansen

My little sister Shannon got married to Kyle on December 13th. I am just a little slow with posting. It was such a fun day for them here are some wedding and luncheon pictures to document the great day!
The beautiful bride.
They had their wedding luncheon at Big J's so they could invite everyone and have a party. It turned out really cute and fun.
Jack and Sawyer liked the luncheon because they could run around and eat ice cream!
The boys loved to be pushed around on the high chair.
Shannon and Kyle and all their cute nephews. I made their ties- my first attempt but they turned out pretty cute other than Hanks was a little small.
After the sealing- freezing cold blizzard!
So we had to cheat on pictures and go back another day when it wasn't a blizzard to take pictures with the Temple. What a cute couple!
