Brothers

I was really nervous for Hank to come because Jack all the sudden got really possessive over his mommy. He always wanted me and wanted to be held. I got a little sad to think that he was not going to be given all my attention all the time any more. I spent a lot of time with him and rocked and cuddled him a lot the week before Hank came. I was so relieved when the first time Jack met Hank I could tell that he already loved him so much and that it was all going to be OK with Jack to have Hank here. He gets a little jealous sometimes when I am holding Hank and feeding and tries to pick him up so someone else will hold him so I can hold Jack, but for the most part he has done so well with the adjustment. When Hank cries Jack will go over to him and pat him on the back and say shhhh. Then Jack will get Hank a toy and set it next to him. Whenever Jack sees Hank he crawls up on whatever he is on to give him a hug and kiss. He is already such a good big brother and I am sure will always look after Hank. It is amazing to me to see the instant love that Jack had for Hank. He is so glad that he is finally here, and so are mom and dad.

Chuck E. Cheese

We went wedding shopping in Layton and stayed at Chelsie's house Monday and Tuesday. We went to Chuck E. Cheese to eat lunch and the boys loved it! Jack especially loved the horse ride. Thanks Granny for the fun trip!

Family pics

I wanted a new cute family picture with our new little boy, but you should never get your picture taken a week after you had a baby, at least I shouldn't. I look terrible, and fat so we will probably be redoing the family picture, but Jack's and Hank's pictures turned out way cute!

We can hardly believe that Jack is already 19 months old already. He is at such a fun age. He is starting to talk a lot and runs everywhere! He is such a good big brother and is always looking out for Hank. He loves to give kisses, dance, and say momma- all day. He understands pretty much everything we say and is already a big helper by throwing Hank's diapers in the garbage for mom. He loves horses and his cowboy hat.

Baby Hank 1 1/2 weeks old.

Hank

Hank is already almost 3 weeks old. I can't believe how fast time has gone. He has been such a good baby and is so dang cute. He has already changed so much and continues to change every day.

Halloween Marathon

We spread out our Halloween festivities over the whole month. We had such a blast doing tons of fun things. Here are the highlights of our Halloween excitement!

We went to the American West Heritage Center corn maze.

My mom had a fun halloween party at her house with silly string, donuts, bobbing for apples and decorating cupcakes with friends and family.
Jack was not too sure about Super Pa and Spiderman so he opted out of this picture bawling.

Jack dressed up as a Jack in the box- very creative...

On Halloween night Jack was the cutest Lion you have ever seen. He wasn't sure at first why he was carrying a bucket up to strangers houses but caught on really quick that if he rang the door bell and attempted to say trick or treat they would put candy in his bucket. It only took one house and then everytime we stopped the car he would grab his bucket jump out and walk straight to the door.

Hank even got to go trick or treating to a few houses in the ward. He was a baby calf, which means I was the milk cow mama.

Hank's girlfriend Mackley White. She was born a few weeks before him but we are arranging their marriage already.
Baby Hank's first Halloween. Cute pumpkin.
Jack also dressed up as a dog, thanks Staci, he loves his hat and wears it all the time.
We went to the pumpkin walk in Logan and Jack had fun putting his face in the cutouts. He really is some pig!

USU games

We love to go the USU games. We have been to two this year.

Sixth Year Anniversary

Cort and I celebrated our six year anniversary on October 26th. It was on a Sunday this year and wasn't too eventful because it was the day before I had Hank. We just hung out and relaxed all day which was nice. I looked back in my pictures from 2002 and remembered how fun our wedding and reception was. We had such a great day on our wedding day. Here are some pictures from six years ago on our wedding day.
Coming out of the temple.
Our reception held in a barn.

And now six years and two boys later. I am so happy that I married Cort. He is a wonderful husband and daddy. I could go on and on and be all sappy but I will spare everyone. I just love him so much and am thankful that someone was watching out for us six years ago so we could be together forever.

Hank

Hank Bob Jones

Hank was born on Monday, October 27th at 9:06. He weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 21 inches long. Monday morning I had been having contractions since midnight and went to work until 10:30. I called my Uncle Kim who was my doctor and he said to come to Pocatello. We left about 11 from Preston and my contractions were getting closer together. My water broke in the car at 11:30. We got settled into our room and my contractions continued to get harder and closer. Cort, my parents, and my sister hung out all day as we waited and waited. Hank's heart rate was really low during contractions and they were getting concerned. They had to supplement fluid into my uterus to help his heart rate. They figured the cord was being pressed against or around his neck. I finally got an epidural and then everything was great! I am so lucky to have my Uncle Kim as my doctor. Him and his wife Teresa hung out in my room and had a party all night with pizza and visitors. It is always a good moment when Kim says I am ready to have a baby. Cort was able to suit up and deliver Hank with Kim telling him what to do step by step. It was such a neat experience to be able to watch Cort deliver his son and how amazing child birth is. As I was delivering Hank I looked up and the blinds were open to my room. It was night outside with lights on inside, so... I pretty much gave the town of Pocatello a free miracle of life show, until someone called and complained that they could see everything- NICE! I hope it is not on U-tube now! That night Cort and I were able to take Hank down to the nursery to give him his first bath. I felt great after having him and we were able to leave the hospital the next morning. We were in and out of the hospital in just 24 hours! I am doing great and so is baby Hank. Jack was a little unsure of Hank at first but now can't get enough of hugging and kissing him. He can say brother pretty good and is still working on saying Hank. We are so blessed to have two healthy beautiful boys and love them both so much.

Big J's FIRE!

Sunday morning at 5 a.m. I went downstairs to go to the bathroom and looked out the window because I saw lights flashing. Fire trucks were stopped outside my house which is next door to my parents house. I grabbed the only blanket in my living room which happened to be Jack's and barely fit around my belly. I was still in my underwear and 9 months pregnant. I ran outside to see Big J's in flames. I looked for my family but no one was around. The fire men were trying to break the door to get inside so I ran as fast as you have ever seen a pregnant lady run to wake my parents up (I was sore for 2 days after). I banged on the doors- they turn their door bells off- but no one could hear me. Luckily, Chelsie was sleeping in Shannon's apartment on the end of the house when I banged on that door. She heard me and thought I was a crazy person so she was scared to open it. She opened the door, asked if I had any clothes on and I told her Big J's was on fire and sprinted up the stairs to tell my parents. My mom was up, dressed and out the door before I could get the whole "Big J's is on FIRE" out and my Dad sat up- looked at me and yelled "I'M SLEEPING!" It took him about 5 times of me telling him to get up because Big J's is on fire before it registered and he flew out of bed. I grabbed some of my mom's clothes so I didn't get a ticket for indecent exposure- but she is so little I looked even more ridiculous with my belly hanging out my shirt and butt tight pants. It was pouring rain and there was nothing we could do to help. I went home to get Cort and he jumped out of bed and ran all the way over to see. It is amazing how fast something can just burn up and how helpless you are just watching it. That morning we still managed to serve 130 national guard guys that we were supposed to cater for lunch.

They think the cause of the fire began in the dryer. It was turned off in the middle of the cycle and didn't cool down so the heat caught fire.
Some of the damage in the kitchen
What used to be the menu board.
The office.
The firemen
An event like this makes you step back and look at things a little differently. We are glad it wasn't our house, or that no one was injured. The fire chief said if they would have waited 10 more minutes to catch the fire the building would have had a flash-back and exploded. We are lucky someone was driving on main street at 5 a.m. on a Sunday morning that was paying attention and saw the smoke. They are estimating about 2-4 months to recover and redo the building- pretty much everything will be replaced. My parents have had so much support and people have been so kind. It is amazing to me to see how generous people are when something like this occurs. So far everything is coming into place and things are getting taken care of. My dad has a great business mind and always has his bases covered. My mom is a very hard worker and really gets things done. We have already seen many blessings through this experience and hope to be back up in business soon. As of now, the worst part about it all is that we have to be like the pioneers and make our own lunch and dinner...

Cort's 10 year reunion

Cort has been graduated from Malad High School for 10 years. Wow- time goes fast, and he is getting OLD! I had to steal this picture from Shelly Hubbard, and I am blog stalking other Malad graduates for more pictures because my camera was in the car and knew I could just get them off someone else's blog. It was good to see all Cort's old friends and meet the people he went to high school with.

36 weeks and counting...

Here is my lovely 36 week pregnant body, I honestly don't think my belly can stretch any further. I could have this baby any day now, Jack was 2 weeks early so we will see:) Hopefully really soon because I am ready to take a break from teaching Kindergarten.
