I couldn't ever get this video to upload, but this is Jack riding his 4 wheeler he got from his birthday. He still hasn't learned how to steer!

Disneyland

We went to Las Vegas and Disneyland last weekend for Chelsie's birthday. She didn't know we were coming so we surprised her. We had such a blast with everyone at the beach, in Vegas, and of course at Disney and California Adventures.

Backyard Fun
One of our favorite things to do in the spring/summer is to hang out in my parents backyard. It has a lot of trees, grass, and a fun hill. This is our first time it was warm enough to be in the backyard. Jack loved to pick the flowers growing on the hill.
It was so funny watching Jack trying to figure out how to get down the hill without falling. He figured out to get down like he crawls down stairs. He turned around and scooted backwards down the hill.
Pa and Jack crawling in a cardboard box. How easy it is to entertain a one year old.
Jack got a battery operated 4-wheeler from Granny and Pa for his birthday. He loves to cruise around on it. He figured out really quick how to push the button to make it go, but hasn't figured out steering yet.

Living Quarters
Cort installed this living quarter in a horse trailer in our backyard. It is a lot of work, I try to help but pretty much he just trusts me to putty the nail holes and clean when he finishes. This is a trailer that he just finished.

Daddy's little helper
The finished product you can't see it in the picture, but it also has a shower, cupboards, and bed.

Kindergartners...
Teaching kindergarten I think I have a new story every day. I need to do better at writing them down because someday I am going to make a book of the funny things they say and retire rich! So here are my two favorite of the year.
A few weeks ago a little boy and girl were arguing and they didn't know I was listening.
Girl: You better be nicer to me or I'm going to tell Jesus.
Boy: You can't tell Jesus.
Girl: Oh yes I can in my prayers tonight.
Boy: Well I don't even care about Jesus.
Girl: K then I will tell Santa Clause.
This got the whole group in on the whole conversation and the boy was really concerned she was going to tell Santa!
The next funny story just happened today and being pregnant and not feeling great about my appearance, I still don't know how to take this from a 5 year old. I haven't told my class that I am pregnant yet because they don't understand why I don't have a big belly so I thought I would wait a few more weeks but...
I noticed a little girl that had really rosy cheeks and a rash all over her body. I know about the disease called fifths disease and these are all the symptoms. It is also a really dangerous disease for pregnant people. So I called her mom to see if she knew what was wrong with her and it was indeed fifths disease. I told her I was pregnant and it is a dangerous disease for pregnant people. Turns out it is only contagious before the rash begins so she came back to school today. Apparently her mom told her that I was pregnant and the little girl decided she would whisper the news in everyones ear when they got to school today. I finally figured out what she was telling everyone and began to listen to what they were saying. She told one boy whose response was "Oh, so that is why she is getting fat!"

12 months doctor visit
Jack went to his 12 month old doctor visit and is doing very well. He weighs in a 22 pounds and is 30 inches.
He didn't like getting shots though!
.
But he did like the sucker he got when he was done.

Jack's first birthday
Jack was so spoiled for his first birthday. He had two birthday parties, which means two cakes! Yes, he got to dig in two times and have a sugar high two nights. He loved every minute of all the attention and loved all his presents too.
I can't even believe that my baby is already one year old. It makes me so sad to think how fast the time has flown by. He is getting such a fun personality and is such a blessing to his mom and dad. We love you Jack and are glad you had a good first birthday!

Easter fun
We had such a fun Easter this year with Jack. It seems like holidays are so much more fun with a kid.
Jack loves to sit in baskets and loved all his easter presents.
Jack got his own little camel back for easter from Granny and Pa to go hiking with
Jack giving Granny kisses for all his Easter prizes. He likes to slip the tongue sometimes, uh-oh!
Jack and Pa eating the easter eggs.

Funny Jack
Here are some pictures of some funny things Jack has been doing lately. He thinks he knows how to feed himself already and will always grab for the spoon.
He has turned into quite a little monkey lately. He loves to climb on anything and sit in baskets or boxes.

Salon Shanae
We are so happy that we have a hair dresser in our family. Shannon cut all our hair and gave Jack his second buzz. We are glad that Shannon is home and are thankful for all she does for us!

Jack in the box

We went to Tremonton to help Coby and Steph move into their house on Saturday. We had to put "Jack in the box" to contain him while we cleaned. He loved it in there! He looked around, ate crackers, and shared crackers with Lewis, their dog. Later Grandpa Rod came and brought Jack a new toy to play with. Have you ever seen a happier kid playing with his new toy? We are so excited that Coby and Steph are moving closer and are happy that we will be able to see them more now.

Lucy or Max...
Jack is going to have a little brother or sister in November. We are so excited! For the past three weeks I have been feeling a little sick but didn't realize it was because I was pregnant. So on Wednesday I took a pregnancy test and it was positive! I think I am about 8 weeks along. Jack and the baby will be about 20 months apart. If it is a girl we like Lucy and for a boy Max. My dad thinks I am having twins (which I would seriously die) and he wants us to name them Millie and Josie. We will keep you posted with my expanding belly each month.

tagged...
Here are the rules… You must post the rules before you give your answers. You must list one fact about yourself for each letter of your middle name. Each fact must begin with that letter. If you don't have a middle name, just use your maiden name. After you've been tagged, you need to up-date your blog with your middle name and answers. At the end of your post, you need to tag one person for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged and need to read your blog for details).
Jo
Glad I have a short middle name because I really am not creative- nor a good writer so here it goes.
J- JOGGER I love to jog, I really do- I can't explain it I just really love it.
O- OPTIMISTIC Well whether I am or not it is a word that starts with "O" anyway. I guess I could say I try to be optimistic, and if I'm not I wish I was more :)
Glad I got off easy on this tag with a short middle name!
I tag: Katie and Jackie

Sick
What is worse than being sick yourself? Having a sick kid. Jack was sick for his second time of his life yesterday and last night. He had a terrible fever peuked all over and was very unconsolable. He screamed all night long- and I live in a duplex I bet my neighbor loves me. The thing that is so bad about him being sick is he can't tell me what it is that is wrong and is so sad. I finally gave him a bath at 5 in the morning and spent the rest of the night walking up and down stairs and wandering around my little house holding him. Poor little guy I wish there was more I could do for him, I just feel completely helpless.
