This ultrasound was taken on June 18th, I am a little slow to post. I love ultrasounds, it makes it seem so much more real that there really is a baby in my belly. It is such an amazing thing to be able to see the different body parts and how much they can detect and see. The profile looks just like Jack's ultrasound profile. I wonder if this baby will look like Jack.
It's definitely a boy!
And here is my growing belly at 20 weeks when this ultrasound picture was taken- I think I have doubled my size this next month! To be continued...

Battle wounds
Jack is a real boy. He loves to climb on anything and explore everything. This has caused some accidents this past month. It seems like he went through a week where he was getting hurt everyday. It doesn't really phase him though because after all the bumps and bruises he would get sad for about ten seconds and then carry on being crazy. So here is some documentation of just some of the battle wounds he has received this past month.
He was sitting on the ledge in front of a glass covered fire place and barely reached his hand back and got burned really bad.
He was playing in the goats pen at my parents and got his thumb shut in the gate. He didn't really care at the time when it happened except later when he tried to suck his thumb and his nail was falling off.
He got a few bruises on his head, you can't see them very well in this picture, but he has one from falling down the stairs-he thinks he can just walk down stairs now instead of scooting backwards down, it about scared me to death! One from tripping into a display at target and hitting his head on the ledge, another bruise from falling partially off the tramp, and then a bunch of bumps and bruises from just being a boy. I know it is just part of learning to be mobile and getting around, but as his mom it makes me so sad to see him get hurt. He is so tough though and shakes it off and keeps on playing!

Summer of Jack
It is the summer of Jack. Next summer we will have a new baby so we are sure having fun with Jack this summer. Here are some fun things we have done already and there will be many more to come!
This is at my parents' property in Preston where we keep our horses. It has a creek and trees that we like to go down to. It is beautiful.
We made smores and Jack really liked the marshmallows. He got them everywhere and kept getting his hands stuck on everything.
Jack is a BIG help to his dad. Cort put up this shed in our backyard to store our bikes in and Jack pretty much hid all the parts he needed.
Jack LOVES to play in this playhouse- should I be worried? He thinks it is so cool when his Pa plays in it with him. He opens and shuts the door and windows and screams for us to look at him. What a nut!
Jack loves to ride on anything that moves. Pa gives him rides on the four wheeler, motorcycle, scooter, and lawn mower.
And what would a summer be if you didn't get to play in the dirt. He was actually helping plant my Grandma's garden by digging up all the seeds we just planted :)
Jack is such an animal lover already. We brought him to McKee's petting zoo and he was in heaven feeding all the animals and riding on the toy horse.
Jack loves horses and when we get around one he points and wants to get on. When he is on a horse he bounces up and down to get it to move. He loves to go to rodeos that his uncles are in so they will take him for a ride. It must be in his blood.

Boys

We got to watch Sawyer and Wyatt for a week while their mom and dad went on a vacation to Ireland. Jack loves when his cousins come and he gets to play with them. He was a little jealous when someone was holding them but we would just make room for both kids on our laps. We went to willow park zoo, got donuts at Stokes, played in the backyard and had so much fun with them here.

Mary was here a few weeks ago with her kids and we got to see them for a little while.

Egbert Family Reunion
Jack and I spent four days at West Pine Lodge between Driggs and Swan Valley a couple of weeks ago for our family reunion. We have been going here for as long as I can remember and every year is so much fun. Here are a couple highlights from our reunion this year.

Before the reunion we stopped in Jackson to eat and shop. We had to have the antler picture as a family because isn't that what you do in Jackson? My mom also got Sawyer and Wyatt Jackson sweaters to match Jack. They looked so cute!

There is a huge slide down the side of the mountain that Jack loved Pa to take him on. We tried to go on hikes, and be outside enjoying nature, but it snowed a lot so we were inside most of the time.

Egbert Olympics- Yes I won the singing competition. This is me and Uncle Kim holding hands looking into each others eyes singing " I will always love you" and holding out the note for "you." I love my Uncle Kim but this was a little weird! We would get medals for each competition our family won and our family won the most medals so we got the grand prize of an ice cream maker- we pretty much rock!
This is Jack at the teddy bear picnic Aunt JaNece did for the kids. She told a story, sang songs, ate teddy grahams, and drank out of little glasses. Jack didn't have a real teddy bear to bring so he had his horse stuffed animal. He loved it!
Every year we have a talent show, which is really lacking in talent. Chels, Sha, and I danced and sang a song about the 15 animals we have all named BOB. Yeah really lame.

After the talent show we have a themed dance. I was in charge of the dance this year so of course it was a western swing, cowboy and cowgirl get up, rodeo queens and bulldoggers dancing the night away.
Here is a picture of my two favorite boys named Jack. Grandpa Jack calls baby Jack- Jack Junior-
And here is the Egbert family. This is almost everyone, but I think there is something like over 75 of us now. We love the reunion and being able to be crazy and have fun until 2 in the morning playing games like "dipa dipa dip" and "der, pllt, cacaw" with all the people we love. Thanks Granny and Popo for throwing such a fun party!

Happy Birthday to Cort!
Tomorrow is Cort's birthday and Jack and I are going to be gone to a family reunion. Cort has to stay home and work darnit! We are so sad that we won't be able to spend this day with him. I just wanted to tell Cort how much I love and appreciate him. I really have the best husband a girl could ask for. He is so understanding and loving and would do anything for me. He is such a hard worker and makes it so I get to only work part time and be with Jack more. He is such a strong priesthood holder and has always fulfilled his church callings, especially in the home. Jack is one lucky kid to have such a great dad who is such an example to everyone. Happy Birthday hunny, I love you so much and can't wait to see you when we get back. Thanks for being such a good daddy and husband!

Name help
We have been thinking about what we want to name our new baby. We have a habit of naming our animals names that we really like and then regretting it because if we really like the names then we should name a kid that not an animal. So I know that we have a dog named Max, but her name is really Maximillia. Our horse is named Hank, but we could change that easy enough because we haven't had him that long. But we like the middle names to be family names and Herbert is funny, but it is Cort's grandpa's name who we love so much. Also Leonard is kind of old man too but that is my great grandpa's name- and it kinda grows on ya. Bob and Scott for middle names are for obvious reasons. But we are having a very difficult time with naming this baby because Jack Rodney was so easy for us to name, we had that picked out for the first five years being married before kids. So if you could help us out we like short, easy, normal names. Leave a comment if you have any ideas we may have overlooked, or please vote for your favorite on our poll on the sidebar. Thanks!

Some exciting events that we have done lately. We had some friends over for a barbecue and jumped on the tramp, chased the rabbit, and played with the goats.
After all that fun the kids were a mess so we put them in the tub. Jack didn't know what to think of a friend in the tub playing with his toys though.
We went to Home Depot to get some more materials for a trailer Cort is working on and Jack loves to ride on the cart. We were in the check out line and he saw a little girls so he crawled on her cart to give her a hug and kiss. He loves little kids and especially girls- should I be worried?
We also went to Grandpa Rod's house where our horse Hank is. Hank has gotten HUGE! We are hoping to get our fence built this Saturday so we can keep him here and see him more.
So I have always thought goat people were weird, you know the goat farmers that raise them just for fun. They aren't worth anything, they stink, they are loud and annoying, and they don't produce anything. So we are now goat farmers. We got two pygmie goats for my mom for Mother's Day and just picked them up. Cort and my dad built them a pen and of course me and my mom had to had the two that were the littlest and cutest, but were also still nursing. We are bottle feeding the goats twice a day, and it is not an easy task. Jack sure loves the goats though- what we do to make our kids happy...
Yesterday I was the mother of 5 kids under the age of 3, 2 goats, a rabbit, and two dogs. We have Chels and Nate's kids here while they are partying in Ireland and then I watched Judd and Katie's 2 kids, plus Jack and feeding goats. Not to mention it poured rain all day so we were all stuck inside. FUN DAY!!!!

Memorial weekend
We had a nice relaxing weekend at Grandma and Grandpa Bradley's house. We love to go to Rigby to visit them and they have an awesome yard next to the river with plenty to do. Here are some highlights of our trip.
We spent a day in Jackson Hole where Grandma Jami bought Jack a cute hoodie. It was pretty rainy and cold, but we had a fun time eating and shopping for the day anyway!
Jack loved to ride on the 4-wheeler while Bob and Cort were hauling wood from their yard to the wood pile.
Grandpa Bob kept Jack fully dressed in his ninja scarf around his head. With his Buzz PJ's he is "to infinity and beyond!"

Jack kept us all busy following him around all weekend. There was so much to see and do. He especially loved picking all the dandelions, and playing in the rock pile.
Grandpa Bob showing Jack how they used to get water out of the water pumps. He learned so much!

IT'S A BOY!!!

We had an ultrasound yesterday and found out that we are expecting another boy! We are so excited, and now we will have a header and a healer for roping! It is exciting to find out you are pregnant, but it becomes real when you find out what you are having. I am feeling great- in fact I sometimes I forget I am pregnant until I try to put on my pants. I might be breaking out the maternity clothes pretty soon. Jack is going to be such a good big brother and we are counting down the days!
