A few races

We went to Salt Lake for the road bike marathon race. It was my first time on a road bike and it was so much fun! We got a lot more pictures but they came up missing so here is the only picture getting ready for the race. My dad, Chels, Nate, Scotty, Kyle, Shannon, Cort, and me all did the race. Can't wait to do it again next year and now I want my own bike!

Cort and I did the Preston 3 mile race. Cort pushed the kids in the chariot and did really good! I was trying to beat my PR and did with 19 minutes. I won first place in the girls. I am so glad that Cort and the boys could do races with me and support the thing I love to do!

Doctor time again!

Always a fun trip to the doctor. Hank had his 18 month and Jack had his 3 year visit. I can't believe my boys are getting so big. They are getting to be such good friends. People always said that the first 18 months would be hard having your kids so close together and it was, but is totally worth it to see them becoming such great friends.
Doctor McKenna being funny by putting Hank's diaper on his head.

The only picture I got with both boys at the doctor.

Jack's 3 year year old stats.

Hank's 18 month old stats
Notice he is in the 90th percentile in height! Not sure where he gets that!

Jack's soccer debut

We went to watch Sawyer play soccer and his team was one guys short. Nate is the coach so they suited Jack up to play with them. Nate giving Jack a quick lesson on how to play soccer and pointing to the goal.
Sawyer looks after Jack and makes sure he is alright.
Jack got right in there and was aggressive to get the ball. That's my boy!
The first play of the game Jack took the ball all the way down the field to score a goal. It was so cute and funny because he was the littlest and youngest player on the field.

I like this picture of Sawyer patting Jack on the back after his goal.
Then Jack got a little shell shocked and embarrassed from everyone cheering for him after scoring the goal so he sat out and pouted the rest of the game. Well it was fun while it lasted!

Memory Lane

We went to Vic's surprise birthday party in Malad. It is always great to see friends we haven't seen for a while that had such a big impact on Cort growing up. Trevor, Victor, Shane, Chris, and Cort.
We also drove clear to Holbrook and drove past the house that Cort grew up in. It has changed a lot and the guy that lives there was getting suspicious with me hanging out the window taking a picture of his house, but it will be fun to be able to remember this old house and show our kids.

Mountain Biking in Moab

I invited myself to the "guys weekend" much to Nate's dismay (he just doesn't like competition). I just couldn't stay home not knowing if it would be my only chance to go this year. So I crashed their party (well I guess I made Cort's party better). My Mother in law was nice enough to take our kids for the weekend. We rode Slickrock on Friday and Porcupine on Saturday.
Cort and I at one of our favorite places on earth!

Kyle was awesome at downhill riding!

Single Scotty... any takers???

Bob and Scott prefer to walk their bikes on the trails.

Surprisingly we didn't have any Chinese people stop my dad to take his picture and talk about what a good looking guy he is this year. What a stud!

Porcupine is such an awesome ride on a full suspension bike. Cort riding down some pretty steep boulder drops.

But Cort won the award for the most crashes! He got pretty broken up a few times, and his bike is pretty much broken to pieces too.

Tough Nate...

Moab is so beautiful. We had to stop a few times to have a photo opportunity.

Can we go anywhere without these guys wanting a shirtless photo together?

My dad, Scotty, Nate, Kyle, Cort, and me!

Good times! Thanks for letting me tag along on your guys weekend it was a blast!

Baby Animal Days

We love baby animal days at American Heritage Center! This year there were even baby bears! Jack was so excited to see them- his favorite animal to act like is a bear. He really wanted to buy one and take it home to our petting zoo and didn't get why he couldn't have a bear as a pet.

They had fun on the train.

The petting zoo was fun but Jack and Hank have about all the animals at home that were there! I had a little scare with Jack at the petting zoo because I thought he was with Chelsie and Sawyer and we got separated. A few minutes later I found Chels and Sawyer, but no Jack. He was nowhere to be found! I almost started to panic while we all split up searching everywhere for him. Luckily Shannon ran back to the train and saw an information booth so ran to it where Jack was just sitting eating a bunch of candy. He had started walking back to the train and someone found him and brought him to the booth. That might be the worst feeling in the world as a mom! Jack didn't really mind though, he just kept asking if he could go back to the booth to get more candy!

These baby ducks were so cute! This is one animal Jack doesn't already have. He has been asking me if he could have one ever since we got home but birds kind of FREAK me out!

I'm really surprised they didn't all squish the duck to death! We don't take turns very well...

Thanks mom for the fun baby animals day!

Totalled Truck!

We are counting our blessings this month after Cort rolled his truck two and a half times. A few days after we drove to California, Cort left to work at 5 in the morning and it had been snowing that night in April. The snow plows weren't out yet and the roads were really slippery. Cort was in four wheel drive and was driving really slow when his truck started fish tailing. He let off the gas and his truck flipped around, hit the ditch bank and rolled off a pretty steep edge into a swamp. He was only about two miles from our house when this happened. Luckily he was wearing his seat belt and luckily his truck flipped around the other way because there was a steel post through the passenger side window and through his jacket that was laying on the seat up through the roof. There are so many things that could have gone wrong that didn't and we are so blessed that he is OK and walked away from this without a scratch. All the windows were shattered and luckily he was still able to roll the shattered window down and crawl out. His truck was in about two feet of swamp water, so luckily he didn't hit his head or pass out in the water. He was pretty shook up and shocked after the accident but after going back to look at the damages of the truck it was pretty amazing that he was not hurt.
Where he rolled off the road in the swamp.

Going back to collect his garage sale of stuff from the truck.

The totalled truck and damages.

We are so blessed that Cort was alright!
