1/2 Marathon

I have been running a lot this summer and have done a few races. My favorite race to run is a 1/2 marathon. I loved it this year because I had a bunch of girlfriends that also ran it. We went to dinner and stayed up way too late! We always have a great time hanging out and talking.
Cort and the boys waiting for me at the finish line with homemade signs so cute!

Some of the girls that also did the race- Katie and Leah

Me and my boys at the finish line. I didn't do as well as I wanted to but got my personal record with 1:38. 9th out of about 350. I was shooting for 1:30 but maybe next year!

Sandi and Family

One of my best friends growing up Sandi Mason and her family came to stay with us for a weekend. She has FOUR kids- they are so dang cute! Jack and Hank had a blast playing with them. I wanted to adopt her oldest girl Hallie, she was so good to Jack and Hank and such a good helper.
All the kids on the tractor- how many kids can fit on the tractor at a time?

All the kids wanted to lead the pony together. So cute!

Hallie was a little cowgirl. She got right on Maggie and rode all by herself.

Jack couldn't be shown up by a girl so he decided he could ride by himself also. We have a few cowboys on our hands!

Thanks for coming to play Mason's sure loved your company! Come again soon!

Fair Time!

We LOVE fair time in Idaho! This year Cort has been working on a trailer so he wasn't able to come to the fair but we still had fun going with Granny and Pa. We got to go to the Preston fair and the Blackfoot one also.

Our favorite part of the Blackfoot fair is the petting zoo.

The fair is just not complete without the culligan water headband with the feather.

Jack and Hank of course had to ride the horsey machine.

These boys could have sat at this fence and watched the ponies all day long. We love the fair!

At the Preston fair this year they had a pie eating contest. Jack wanted to do it and was the littlest kid in the kid competition. He has his moms competitiveness in him and ate the pie with no hands really fast. Of course I didn't have my camera but it was hilarious to watch him.

Jack's First Day of Preschool

Jack went to a half year of preschool last year and gets to go to the same preschool again this year. He loves school and playing with all his "best friends" He is getting so big and smart. He cracks us up everyday with the things he says. We love him so much and can't believe how fast he is growing up. He keeps telling me that he is big now and can walk to preschool by himself.

HIs first day of preschool happened to be my birthday also. After he got done with school my mom brought him to see me at my kindergarten class. Right when they opened the door to my room he yelled out HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY! Really loud! It was so dang cute. He loves to come see me at school and all the attention my students give him.

Summertime Fun!

It is always so sad to see the summer over. Just a few more highlights of fun things we did.
The boys love playing with their cousins and being crazy boys!

Yeah- I don't know how I get roped into these things by Scotty. Yes I peddled him all over town like this...

Our race is doing the olympics all year and Jack got to do this bike race. I told him I would go ahead of him so he could follow me and he told me that he is big now and can do by himself. sniff sniff...

Mander

Cort and I were working late one night outside when Cort spotted something crawling across the driveway. He picked it up and it was a gross slimy salamander. Jack was super excited and named him Mander. Just another pet to add to the collection...

Go Go Lagoon!

We love to go to Lagoon every summer with my family. The boys were so much fun this year and loved EVERY ride!
Wyatt and Hank holding hands while waiting for their favorite whale ride.

These two loved this ride!

The whole family on the scenic train.

Me and my seesters!

Sha, Chels, and boys

We even got Scotty to come to Lagoon for a few hours.

We had so much fun at Lagoon we decided to bounce back and do it all over again! Shannon and I met Chelsie there and had another great day at Lagoon!

Jack's favorite ride- he is a big dumbo fan!

Wyatt loved to ride on the boats, but only the orange boat. This ride is always the longest line and wait so we were here a lot of the day!

I thought the kid snake ride looked fun so I took Hank and after almost squishing him to death because it goes around and around in a circle a million miles an hour it turned out being not so fun...

Of course Hank's favorite ride of the day has to do with a horsey. He could have stayed on the carousel all day and been happy.

Hank's other favorite ride, and I kind of liked it too so we went on it about a million times.

I don't recommend the bumper cars for a one year old. Very confusing!

I now hate this ride. It was the last ride of the day, the boys were sleepy and apparently the ride attendant was sleepy also because he fell asleep during the ride while Hank was trying to climb out of the plane. It is quite a drop into water so I had to yell to the kid to turn it off while Hank was about hanging off the edge of the plane. Leave it to Hank...

Benny Boo on the horse.

Can't wait to go go to Lagoon again next year!

Zoo Family Fun

If you didn't already know we have a couple of animal lovers in our house. So we decided to take them to Willow Park Zoo before the summer is gone and I go back to teaching.
They loved looking at the animals and just "hanging out"

Their favorite part of the zoo was feeding the birds.

Baby Kitties

We thought we needed a few more animals to add to the Jones' Petting Zoo. Bobcat had NINE baby kitties! The boys were in heaven with them. They would spend hours outside playing with them and searching for them when the mom would move them.

One day I couldn't find Jack and Hank anywhere when I heard something down the window well. They had both climbed down the well because the kitties were down there.

And then when Cort got home from work he of course joined them.

Does anyone want a baby kitty- or eight or nine?
