Trick or Treat

Halloween finally came! Jack has been so excited to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle for the past two months. I bought his costume and had to hide it until Halloween so he didn't wear it out. Hank decided with a little persuasion to be a baby turtle to match Jack. They were so fun to take Trick or Treating and got WAY too much candy and junk!
TMNT- Turtles in a half shell- Turtle Power!

Jack- I mean Michelangelo.

Hank the turtle

Going to our first house.

Before we went trick or treating we went to our wards trunk or treat. This is Jack's little friend Carlee the candy corn and her sister Avery.

Hank turns 2!

Hank and his pony cake. He has been telling me for a few months that he wanted a horsey birthday cake so that is what he got!

Opening presents- All Hank wanted was a horsey and footballs. He has quite the obsession especially with anything to do with a horse.

All the families at the party. Our house got really small really fast. Time to finish the basement!

Hank got a new pony and saddle for his birthday! Her name is Suzy.

Hitting the pony pinata.

Hank even made the Big J's marquee!

Hank's second birthday party- on his real birthday! We like to party and turn a birthday into a birthmonth around here.

The worst thing about turning two... SHOTS! No fun!

The stats are in:

Weight: 29.6 pounds/ 60th %
Height 34 inches/ 75th %

We love this little guy so much and are so happy he is a part of our family. His big brown eyes can about melt your heart. He has got such a sweet little personality and eats, sleeps, and breathes horses. He is constantly playing with his horses, trailers, ropes, and cows. If he isn't talking about or playing with horses he is playing with any ball. He loves football and basketball. We got lucky with Hank because he pretty much potty trained himself. At about 20 months he wouldn't poop in his diaper and would always go in the toilet. Then when he turned 24 months we had a bucket of candy in the cupboard from Halloween so we told Jack they could both have a piece of candy if Hank peed in the toilet. So Jack asked Hank if he wanted to go have a pee party about every five minutes and he caught on really quick! So thanks to Jack Hank got potty trained! Jack and Hank get along so well (most of the time) and are such good "buddies" we love you Hankers!

Grandma and Grandpa Cowman

We try to make it to Pocatello a few times a month to visit Grandma and Grandpa Cowman or as the boys call them Double G (Great Grandparents). My Grandma sure loves her great grandboys and they sure love her!

Grandpa has been in the Veterans Assisted Living Center for a few years.

Halloween Activities

October is the greatest month! I love how the leaves are falling and the air is getting cooler. I also love the fun family activities we do this time of year. We went to the pumpkin patch and got pulled by the tractor around the patch to find the perfect pumpkins.

Jack found the pumpkin he wants.

Hank wanted all the baby pumpkins.

Granny and Pa with all five of their grandboys!

It is getting more and more difficult to get a picture with all five of them smiling or even looking at the camera- but they are all sure cute!

And making spooky halloween houses at Granny's. We have been dressing up in all of Granny's play clothes getting ready for the big Trick or Treat day!

And then of course we carved the pumpkins to put on our porch. The boys dug right in and had a great time!

Tis the season to dress up!

My mom has a killer dress up room. With every dress up costume you can think of these boys keep entertained for hours! This is how they all came out this time.

And of course they want to go get ice cream with their costumes on!

We even dress up to go shopping at the mall! Funny boys!

Crazy Boys!

These boys are so crazy when they are together! They have so much fun.

Wyatt's crazy face

Crazy man Sawyer

Jack can pull some pretty funny faces with his stretchy skin.

Hank is just plain crazy!

And Benny Boo just likes to eat anything that is in sight- aren't petunias poisonous?

And Granny and Pa's backyard is perfect for these crazy kids to run around and play in. What a bunch of monkeys!

1/2 Marathon

I have been running a lot this summer and have done a few races. My favorite race to run is a 1/2 marathon. I loved it this year because I had a bunch of girlfriends that also ran it. We went to dinner and stayed up way too late! We always have a great time hanging out and talking.
Cort and the boys waiting for me at the finish line with homemade signs so cute!

Some of the girls that also did the race- Katie and Leah

Me and my boys at the finish line. I didn't do as well as I wanted to but got my personal record with 1:38. 9th out of about 350. I was shooting for 1:30 but maybe next year!

Sandi and Family

One of my best friends growing up Sandi Mason and her family came to stay with us for a weekend. She has FOUR kids- they are so dang cute! Jack and Hank had a blast playing with them. I wanted to adopt her oldest girl Hallie, she was so good to Jack and Hank and such a good helper.
All the kids on the tractor- how many kids can fit on the tractor at a time?

All the kids wanted to lead the pony together. So cute!

Hallie was a little cowgirl. She got right on Maggie and rode all by herself.

Jack couldn't be shown up by a girl so he decided he could ride by himself also. We have a few cowboys on our hands!

Thanks for coming to play Mason's sure loved your company! Come again soon!

Fair Time!

We LOVE fair time in Idaho! This year Cort has been working on a trailer so he wasn't able to come to the fair but we still had fun going with Granny and Pa. We got to go to the Preston fair and the Blackfoot one also.

Our favorite part of the Blackfoot fair is the petting zoo.

The fair is just not complete without the culligan water headband with the feather.

Jack and Hank of course had to ride the horsey machine.

These boys could have sat at this fence and watched the ponies all day long. We love the fair!

At the Preston fair this year they had a pie eating contest. Jack wanted to do it and was the littlest kid in the kid competition. He has his moms competitiveness in him and ate the pie with no hands really fast. Of course I didn't have my camera but it was hilarious to watch him.
