Family Reunion 2009

We had yet another eventful exciting reunion this year. We went to West Pine Lodge and relaxed, slid down the slide, and ate a lot of food.
We went on a few hikes.
Some hikes we really had to bush wack- and climb under huge trees that had fallen down in the storms.
Jack love to get prizes at the fish pond.
Jack made cupcakes with "double G" and had a cupcake walk to eat their yummy creations.

The tooth fairies- AKA Aunt Treasa and Aunt Julie. Did you know that the tooth fairy sometimes steals your money, and spits in your face?
Our little family picture. Thanks Mom and Dad for the fun reunion!
Granny and Pa and their grandboys.

We went on a really fun bike ride, but I did an ENDO and flew down the mountain. I hit a rock and my sweater was tied to my waist and got caught on the back of my seat which sent me flying down the mountain and my bike flew and landed on top of me. I had so many bruises and got cut up pretty bad. Good thing I was wearing a helmet and a big tree stopped me or I would have landed about 50 feet down the mountain in the drink!
My cute boys.
Who is uglier? Never mind- don't answer that question... We don't want to hurt Chelsie's feelings.
Sawyer, Wyatt, Jack, and Hank. What a bunch of cute cousins!
The gang. We had a lot of people missing which we missed, but we still had a good time!

Pictures

Hank's 6 month, Jack's 2 year, and a new family picture. Click to enlarge page, and stay tuned for a face lift on our blog, I know you can't wait...

Events

The other day we had a monsoon rain storm. In about five seconds we had huge puddles everywhere. Jack was playing with his pa and here is what happened.
First Jack walked in the puddles, Pa told him to stomp. He thought this was cool. Then he got his clothes all wet so of course Pa took off his clothes.
Then he was laying in the puddle with his diaper.

Then his diaper got wet so off it came and there was a naked puddle jumper.

Our ward primary had a drive in movie where they brought car boxes and had popcorn, cotton candy, and drinks. Jack got to ride with his favorite little primary girl Addie. He has a way with cute girls already...

love this little face.

6 month and 2 year doctor visit

Jack and Hank both had a doctor appointment last week and I thought I would be fine taking them both by myself. Luckily Chelsie volunteered to help me out because I couldn't have done it alone. They were both really good for the doctor. Jack has been sick with a cold and had a fever for three nights so when he woke up the morning of his appointment he knew he was going to the doctor and said "I sick- doctor- feel better." He let the doctor look in his ears, throat, eyes, etc. and said that he felt better when we left. The rest of the day he told everyone "doctor feel better." Hank is just growing like a little weed, I mean BIG weed. He is an eater, I mean a nurser. He hates baby food- I have tried every kind and he acts like he is gagging and spits it all back out. Hopefully he will get the hang of it soon because I am not going to nurse him until he is 10. Here are their stats from their doctor visit.

Jack- 2 years old
29 pounds- 65%tile
35 inches- 75%tile

Hank- 6 months old
17 pounds 4.5 ounces- 50%tile
26 inches- 30%tile

I didn't get any picture of the boys seeing the doctor this time because we were too crazy trying to do two appointments at once, but here is a picture of Chelsie playing with the boys in the treehouse before the doctor. Jack just wanted Chelsie to sit by him on the little couch. Sometimes I wonder if Jack wishes Chelsie was his mom, when she is around he only wants her...

Easter Part 2

We went to Grandpa Rod's house Easter Sunday morning for breakfast and Jack got to see his cousins Kai'le and Brodee. Staci and Timmi stuffed a billion eggs with candy and Jack loved picking them up and putting them in his easter bag.

Wicked Weekend

We had a "Wicked" weekend for Chelsie's birthday. I am a little slow to post but Chelsie celebrated her 29th birthday on April 20th- you old lady. We went to Bountiful to stay at their house to have a little "wicked" fun. OK enough with the puns. We had many excursions planned of course by our tour guide Nate who always has plans and keeps us booked with fun. Which is really good because my family has a hard time making and deciding decisions. So here is a recap of our fun!
Saturday morning Cort, Nate, and Joe (Nate's Dad) were in the Salt Lake City bike marathon. We won't mention who won the race so we don't embarrass the two youngest that lost. We also won't mention who LOST the race because that would make Cort embarrassed even though his back tire would barely spin by itself and his bike was all messed up. ANYWAY, they had a lot of fun riding the whole 26 miles of SLC and even got a FREE T-shirt!

We then ventured to Antelope island where we went on a fun bike ride along the Great Salt Lake and did a little rock climbing.

The reason this was such a "wicked" weekend is because we got to go to WICKED! This was my second time to see it and it was even better than the first. Such a good play! We got some sitters and went to dinner where Shannon and Kyle told us the great news. None of the seats were together because we were just lucky enough to get 8 tickets so we put the tickets in a hat and drew out where we were sitting for the show, and then met at intermission to draw a new seat.
Chelsie made us these SWEET Wicked shirts and the boys drank some green Elixir before the show to get us in the mood.

Sunday we went to Temple Square to take a tour of the conference center. The boys loved the roof the best to play in the water fountains and look at the temple.

We're glad Chelsie had a birthday and that we could all benefit from the fun of her turning 29! Happy Birthday CHUCK!

Easter Part 1- Saturday

For Easter part 1- Saturday we went to the city easter egg hunt. The boys were so excited but hated waiting for the fire truck to tell them to go.
Planning the attack.

Jack and Mom gathering eggs.
Cort and Hank on the side lines.
Before the hunt started the siren went off which caused Jack to stop dead in his tracks and talk about the "wooo, woooo, fire" he was totally not interested in the eggs anymore because he wanted to see the fire truck. We walked over the the truck and Kim Crockett who is in our ward told us to load up and he would take us for a ride. This made Jack's day! He loves fire trucks and makes the siren sound so cute.

Then we painted about 100 easter eggs. Jack kept plugging his nose and saying eggs stink. He was so concerned about the easter bunny coming to hide the eggs and kept saying "bunny- hide?" "no bunny" over and over, it was really funny. I finally had to tell him the easter bunny went home to go to bed to get him to stop talking about him.

American West- Baby Animal Days

We went to the American West Heritage Center for baby animal days with my family which was so fun. Here are some fun activities we did there.
Sawyer chased a goat and pulled the ribbon off it's tail. He ran so fast and did a great job!
Jack and Cort threw an arrow at this big elephant.
Jack pet all the baby animals. I'm surprised we didn't come home with a new pet actually.
Sat on the Easter bunnies lap- Jack is in the stage that people in costumes are not fun- they are scary, but he wants to keep looking at them from a distance and didn't stop talking about it.
Held a gigantic snake- gross.

Fireman cowboy

The two things Jack likes most right now are cowboys-horses, chaps, hats, etc. And anything to do with fire trucks. I didn't know that Jack was running around the parking lot and Big J's like this until people started telling me how cute he looked in his diaper, boots, and hat. What do you do though, I guess he is just a real boy.

Faces of Hank

I just can't resist this little guy and his melt your heart grins. He is growing so fast and changing every day. We love our baby Hankers!

Happy Birthday to Jack

For Jack's second birthday he wanted a tractor party. He got a Gator tractor from Granny and Pa which he loves, but is really wreckless because he can't quite steer it yet. He got a lot of toys, tractors, chaps and boots from Grandpa Rod and Staci, and some trains from Grandma and Grandpa Bradley. He pretty much got spoiled rotten! We had such a fun day and are glad that everyone could come celebrate Jack turning 2 with us.

We are lucky to have Big J's to have our parties in. This is the tractor serving table.
Jack loved all his presents- but got a little gun shy opening them with all the attention.
Blowing out the candles.
The cute tractor cake- I wish I could say I made it, but I didn't.
