Photo shoot

I took some pictures for Trudy's birthday of her grandkids. It was really hard to get all 5 kids looking and smiling at the same time but Judd and Nick put on quite a show trying to make them smile.

Glenda the Pig

My parents went to the state fair in Blackfoot and bought a new 10 day old pet pot bellied pig. Which means I got a new pig really. It has to be bottled fed every 3 hours and oink and squeals a lot. What you will do to make little grandboys happy...

Glenda the pig.
The boys LOVE to play with Glenda. Jack woke up every morning and sometimes in the middle of the nap yelling for "my pig"
Granny got a new bunk bed for the boys. This is where Sawyer and Jack like to hang out, eat lunch, and watch movies.

Jedi Birthday

Sawyer and Wyatt had a Jedi birthday party. It was so much fun. Chelsie made them Jedi robes and they brought their light sabers to "fight the bad guys." Jack doesn't know anything about Jedi's or Star Wars, but Sawyer has taught him a lot.

They battled a pinata- I think it is the burning star, or bright star- I don't know anything about Star Wars either.

Jedi Jack
Jedi Hank- Sawyer's USU band he got from Uncle Scotty.
All Sawyer's cousins saying "Jedi"
They battled balloons down the stairs.

Friend reunion

We had Cort's high school buddy friend reunion at Jami's retreat vacation camping spot in Rigby this year. We usually rough it camping in the dirt and bears and bees, but this year we camped in style with an outdoor kitchen, grass, five star outhouse, and canoes. We had such a blast and had some late nights playing some pretty crazy fun games. We always have so much fun getting together and are planning the next reunion's cruise!
Trevor and Hayden's little girl Taizley loves Max. I tried to get them to take her but they weren't interested?

Shane and Katie brought their Honda 50's in the back seat of their little Hyundai car. They were A BLAST! They were ridden all weekend long by somebody. We gotta get us some of these!

Jack was in heaven at Grandma Jami's with his friends Tayson and Taizley.

Playing go fish with Tayson, Taizley, Sophie, and Izzy. These kids played all day with each other so good.

The kitchen help who made some delicious meals! Thanks guys!

We went on the river that goes behind Bob and Jami's house in tubes and canoes.

The picture doesn't do it justice but we thought we were lost a few times so Cort and Trevor had to get out and walk around to make sure we weren't going off a cliff and they got eaten alive by mosquitos.

So we ended with a dip in the hot tub to warm up after the LONG tubing experience.

Bear Lake

We had so much fun at Bear Lake with our friends we decided to go again with my family.
Scotty took this picture of Hank I think it is so cute.

The boys love to play in the sand and make sand castles.

Sweat Equity

We are so lucky to have family that has some skills. Cort's brothers are electricians and were able to help us wire our house. We appreciated all the help and it was fun getting together with everyone. Jack was so happy to have Brodee here. They were filthy dirty every day from playing in the dirt. Thanks everyone for all your help, we owe you all!
Grandpa Rod came to play with the boys and dig holes for the fence with his tractor.

These boys are trouble when they get together. If they could have reached the key I am sure they would have taken a ride right through the house.
All you need is a cousin and a pile of rocks to keep entertained.
Jack and Brodee don't get to see each other very often but when they do they don't want to be apart. They even slept together.
My handy man.
The electrical crew.

Bear Lake

I have been wanting to go to Bear Lake all summer so we finally went with Katie and Ashley and their kids. We had such a blast except for locking the keys in the car, but we still had fun!

Bear Lake babies.

Uncle Scotty

Uncle Scotty came home from his mission! We are so happy he is home and have had a lot of fun with him. Jack thinks he is pretty funny and likes to give him head butts. He got home on his birthday so we had a party!

Pet Frog

My dad found a frog in his backyard so him and Jack caught it in a bucket. Jack was so excited about his frog but didn't want to touch it.

Going to put it back in the garden to "find his mommy."

Baby Pyke

Cort's brother Riley and his wife Sunni had their baby Pyke in August. We went to visit them in the hospital, he is SO cute! And Jack and Hank are so happy to have another cousin. Now we can't wait until Coby and Steph's twin babies in October!

Scout Camp

Cort is the scout master in our ward! He does such a good job and the boys love him. I don't love him being gone so much on campouts but he has fun. Here he is at scout camp this year.

Hank 9 months

I don't know where the time is going, but I never made it in to get Hank's 9 months pictures taken, so this picture of him on the couch will have to do until his 1 year picture which I am for sure going to get! Hank is such a good baby. He always has the biggest grin on his face and goes a million miles an hour. He crawls so quick and is very determined to get whatever he wants. He has quite the little attitude if he doesn't get what he wants... dog food, ropes around his neck, cat litter, etc. He LOVES his big brother and loves to lay on top of him. Jack can get him laughing so hard while they are in their car seats, it is my favorite thing to listen to. He has four teeth but is getting a few more. He gets so excited to see me in the morning and can't wait to have his bottle to go to bed. We love this little guy!

Rodeo

Rodeo is always a good time here in Preston. Chelsie and her boys came for the weekend so we had a ton of fun.
We started out Saturday morning with the triathlon. I did the running and Cort did the biking. Notice our team number on our shirts, #1!

All our support. Nate did the triathlon with his buddy but we won't mention which team won them :) #1

Jack absolutely LOVES parades! He loves to wave at all the people and floats, it is a good thing this parade was three straight nights in a row. He would ask me everyday before nap if he gets to go to the parade and get candy when he wakes up. Now whenever he sees a police car or fire truck he thinks they should throw candy even if they are going 100 miles an hour down the road.

Hank chilling in the stroller watching the parade.

All the grandboys. My mom buys them all matching shirts for the rodeo. I think they are all pretty cute!

Friends bbq and fun

We had all of Cort's high school buddies over for a barbeque and fireworks on the 24th. We always have such a good time when we get together with these guys.

Our little cowboy Hank.

24th of July

For the 24th of July we had our own firework show in the parking lot. Jack loves the sparklers and gave us a little scare. We had the blow torch out to light the sparklers and Jack bent down to pick up something off the ground right into the blow torch. Cort was luckily kneeling right by him and smelt the burn so he threw him back. We ran into the house to put cold water on his eye and Jack wouldn't open his eye. I thought he had burnt his eye really bad. We were all scared to open his eye to see the damage. Luckily, just his eye lashes all got cinged off and his eye ball was fine. He cried for about five minutes because he was scared that Cort threw him back, and then wanted to go out to do sparklers again.
Me and Hank watching the action.
