Egbert Family West Pine Lodge Reunion

My favorite part about the reunion is the fun mountain bike rides we all go on. Except this year I witnessed my dad almost killing himself when he flew in the air and did a flip off his bike. It was awesome!

Hank loved all the treats at the teddy bear picnic.

Chelsie was in charge of the Teddy Bear Picnic, the kids had a lot of fun.

These guys were very crazy putty cats.

Jack thought they were real and wanted to pet the putty cats.
And these guys were just nerdy for the talent show.

Jack and Sawyer sang "Billy the Bull" for the talent show.

Our family did a skit called "The Life of Bob" we all came in and stole money out of his wallet while he was sleeping- not that we do that in real life...
Well we all stole money from his wallet and Scotty stole his donut instead- that makes sense.

The little boys loved the Mexican Fiesta,

We played tons of games like dippy, dippy, dip - even though nobody ever got it.

For the dance we were to dress up as anything we wanted, and someone dressed up like a streaker in a rain jacket...

Jack was lucky enough to win one of the quilts made by my mom. He was so excited to win!

The whole family - minus a few

Thank you Granny & Popo for an amazing reunion. We look forward to it ever year!

Feliz Cumpleanos!

Happy 30th birthday to Cort! I arranged a surprise birthday for this special day for Cort. We had all his family and friends come and totally surprised him.

We have such great friends and family that came to celebrate this big day!

The funniest present of the day- Trevor and Hayden made Cort a shirt that says "I am not Hispanic" trying to be politically correct. Cort gets a lot of people thinking he is Mexican so now he can just wear the shirt and people won't ask his ethnicity or make a fool of themselves by trying to pronounce his last name Jones with a Spanish twist.

And of course we have to have a pinata for this feliz cumpleanos!

The birthday cake

Jack thinks fireworks go with birthdays for some reason so here is Cort and his firework fountain.

Jack and Hank got Cort his very own plastic guns and holster- just what he wanted!

Happy birthday Cort- We love you and hope you have another wonderful 30 years and more ahead!

Bug Catchers

Jack's favorite thing to do this summer so far is to catch bugs. Luckily living in the country there are plenty of bugs to catch. He can spend hours outside looking for bugs to put in his bug house.Hank showing a bug he caught.
Jack even caught a big stink bug especially for Granny's birthday. Happy birthday Granny hope it is all you ever wanted!

Country activities

Have you ever seen such a happy fisherman? Cort was reeling them in one after another. He has no shoes on and is sopping wet because this picture was taken right after Hank decided to run and jump off the dock. He is absolutely fearless and crazy. Luckily Cort was right there and jumped right in to save him after sinking like a rock.

I love living in the country for views like this.

4th of July

4th of July is one of my favorite holidays. We usually run a race in the morning in Lewiston then go to the parade with my family. Then we go to the Lewiston rodeo to watch Cort's brothers and play at the park festivities. At night we hang out with Judd and Katie's family and watch fireworks.
Sparklers are always a hit with the kids.

Judd, Cort, and the kids.

Jack with his sparkler.

Hank, Burk, and Jack- I love this picture of these guys!

Kayak

We have taken up kayaking because we live so close to the reservoir. We like to go with my dad and Shannon and Kyle a lot.

Let's Go Fly a Kite and Ride a Horse!

We love living in the country where we can run and play! Our first kite flying this spring. Jack thought it was really cool with his Lightning McQueen kite. All my boys having a blast!
The wind was not too strong so they really had to work hard to get the kite to fly.
Hank lost interest and went exploring. I love that Scooby follows him everywhere.
After kite flying the boys wanted to ride their pony. Here they are getting Maggie brushed and ready to saddle up.
One of my favorite pictures of the boys. Their facial expressions are the exact same in this picture.
Down the road we go on a horsey ride.
